Desilusión

from $20.00
sold out

by Paola Martínez Fiterre

Desilusion represents the daily physical, economic and emotional instability I’ve experienced as a Latina immigrant woman living in the United States.

Tension evoked throughout the book reflects on the representation of my inherited relationship with what “should be” feminine and the violence that these conventions have projected onto me.

It reflects a collective memory of people exiled from their origins, who have had to live in areas between societies they were forced to abandon and new hosts, but don’t belong entirely to either.

44 pages / 6x9 inch / Saddle Stitch Booklet

Published in an edition of 100, of which 10 will be sold as a special edition packaged with a 5x7 inkjet print.
